Kevin Ulrich is an accomplished investor and entertainment industry leader recognized for his long-standing influence in both finance and film. As the co-founder and chairman of Anchorage Capital Group, he has guided one of the most respected investment firms in New York, overseeing major strategic ventures across diverse industries. Ulrich's connection to the film world began through his firm's investment in MGM, where he joined the board in 2010 and later served as chairman. In that role, he helped steer the studio through a successful restructuring and a new era of creative and commercial success. His leadership was instrumental in modernizing MGM's business model and preparing it for its high-profile acquisition by Amazon in 2022. During his tenure, MGM continued to produce acclaimed titles and expand its global reach. Ulrich maintains executive producer credits on several major films, including "House of Gucci" (2021), "Cyrano" (2021), "The Boys in the Boat" (2023), "Challengers" (2024) and "Bride Hard" (2025), reflecting his active engagement in the creative and strategic sides of the film business. Before founding Anchorage Capital in 2003, Ulrich held senior leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, where he led global bank loan trading and distressed debt initiatives. He has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Juris Doctor (with honours) from Harvard Law School. Beyond his corporate and studio leadership, Ulrich supports initiatives that promote film, culture, and education worldwide. He is also chairman of J.Crew Group, Inc., where he has invigorated the brand and repositioned it on a course of financial stability and continued growth.
