Oliver Stark

Oliver Stark was a British actor known for his dark looks and brooding roles on television and on stage. He was born Oliver Leon Jones in London, England. As a teen, he took classes at the North London Performing Arts Center. His first major role was in the short film "Break In" (2010), a crime drama in which Stark played a man turning to a life of crime. This kickstarted a career of playing young men gone astray, though he found most of his work on television. His first TV role was a small part in the 26th series of the long running British medical drama "Casualty" (BBC 1986-). His first major theatrical role was in the Fifth Dimension Theatre's "Fatal Excuses" (2012), in which Stark's performance earned much critical praise. In 2013, he appeared in a variety of minor roles on television shows, such as in "Luther" (BBC 2010-13) alongside Idris Elba and in "Dracula" (NBC 2013-14) alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers. He was cast as a lead in the genre-bending martial arts drama "Into The Badlands" (AMC 2015-), starring as Ryder, a mysterious and entitled young man. He also landed a lead role in the film "Deus Ex Machina" (2016), a science fiction thriller starring Sam Neill.
