In the tense atmosphere of Berlin in 1986, Yeong-min, an ordinary economist studying in Berlin, decides to seek refuge in North Korea for the sake of himself and his family. However, when he learns of his wife's mistake and tries to escape from Copenhagen Airport, he becomes separated from his family. He then seeks assistance from various intelligence agencies, but they are only interested in using him for their own purposes and do not care about the safety of his family. They monitor him closely and use him as a pawn in their agendas.
