Serious and straight-laced Tetsuko (Yo Yoshida) is a talented lawyer whose job to help the desperate and the needy runs in stark contrast to her coldness when interacting with other people on a daily basis. Her cousin Natsuko (Yoshino Kimura) is the complete opposite: impulsive, charismatic, and committed to making the most out of life.Their worlds collide when Natsuko suddenly appears out of the blue to ask for Tetsuko's aid in a legal dispute with a jilted ex-boyfriend. Despite Tetsuko's reluctance, she is invariably drawn into her cousin's affairs and finds herself thrown headlong into the chaos that follows Natsuko wherever she goes.
