On the night of May 28th, 1984...A fire broke out on the fourth floor of Jinxin Building. The place was filled with smoke to cause the stack effect. Back then, the fire passage was blocked to stop the residents from escaping the building and staying away from the fire. Some lost consciousness in their dreams while some couldn’t tolerate the heat and jump off. In all, nineteen people died in the fire, which created an uproar in the society.Since then, there have been a lot of horrifying rumors about Jinxin Building. However, because of the low rent, many fearless young people have been attracted to live here. Among them are a shaman named Pei-zhi (played by Yuu Chen) and a horror novelist named Shao-jun, who has been trying to find inspiration here. They are trying to investigate many inexplicable horror events in this building and find out the truth about the fire...It has been said that Pei-zhi's mother (played by Esther Huang) set the fire twenty years ago to kill the other nineteen residents and get an irreparable karma... After the fire, Jinxin Building became well-known. There have been all kinds of suicide and homicide cases here to make it the most haunted house in Taiwan. Pei-zhi comes back here because of her guiltiness and tries to comfort the spirits of the dead. Nevertheless, danger keeps approaching her... In the end, things end up to be scary and incredible as hell....
