Young Canadian actor Finn Wolfhard moved swiftly from guest roles on episodic series to juvenile leads in major film and television projects, including "It" (2017) and "Stranger Things" (Netflix, 2016-). Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Wolfhard was inspired to pursue acting after seeing Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" (2002). He made his screen debut in the science fiction-themed short "Aftermath" (2013), which set the tone for much of the work that followed, including guest turns on the fantasy/horror series "The 100" (The CW, 2014-) and "Supernatural" (The WB/CW, 2005-). Wolfhard vaulted to wider recognition with a major role as a young Indiana boy searching for his missing friend in the Netflix drama "Stranger Things," which was soon followed with a starring turn in "It." Andy Muschietti's film adaptation of the popular horror novel by Stephen King. Wolfhard was cast as one of the film's protagonists, Richie "Trashmouth" Tozier, who fights an ancient evil plaguing his small Maine town.
