Ser'Darius Blain

American actor Ser'Darius Blain steadily climbed the acting ladder until breaking through with his role in "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (2017). After attending the New York City Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, he made his screen debut playing a fighter in Ryan Gould's short film "Sucker Punch" (2009). He jumped into features with a role in the remake of "Footloose" (2011), playing Ren's friend, Woody. He followed that with a supporting part in the young adult series "Jane by Design" (ABC Family, 2012). Guest appearances followed on "The Vampire Diaries" (The CW, 2009-17),"NCIS" (CBS, 2003-), and "Super Fun Night" (ABC, 2013-14). He also continued acting in short films, including one that he wrote and directed, "Black Book" (20012). He earned a more significant role when he was cast as a soldier working at Guantanamo Bay in the Kristen Stewart drama "Camp X-Ray" (2014). He then appeared as a high school football player opposite Jim Caviezel and Laura Dern in the inspirational sports drama "When the Game Stands Tall" (2014). Returning to television, he had a recurring role in "Survivor's Remorse" (Starz, 2014-) and filmed guest spots on "Chicago P.D." (NBC, 2014-) and "Shameless" (Showtime, 2011-). Supporting roles in "Seduced" (2016) and "Maybe Someday" (2017) preceded his breakthrough part in "Jumanji." Blain played high school athlete Anthony "Fridge" Johnson, who morphs into comedian Kevin Hart when he is sucked into the title game. Off of the big budget hit, he joined the cast of the rebooted supernatural drama "Charmed" (The CW, 2018-) as the boyfriend of Madeleine Mantock's witch. He continued acting on the big screen as well, with a run of supporting roles in films such as "Beneath the Leaves" (2018), "The Last Full Measure" (2018), and "Against All Enemies" (2019).
