Margot Bingham

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (her father was a player of the Pittsburgh Steelers), Margot Bingham attended the Pittsburgh School for the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduating, she attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh for two years before deciding to make the move to New York City. She appeared in the 2011 revival of "Rent," before landing her first onscreen role, a supporting part in an episode of "Golden Boy" (CBS, 2013). That part was quickly followed by a recurring role on the Martin Scorsese produced period drama "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO, 2010-14). Bingham combined this with a recurring role as a CIA analyst on the soccer/espionage show "Matador" (El Rey, 2014). In 2016, Bingham had two high profile roles: one was a significant role in "Barbershop: The Next Cut" (2016), and the other was her first series regular role on "The Family" (ABC, 2016). After that show was cancelled, Bingham continued to work feverishly, with a number of films and TV appearances, including a recurring role on "Queen Sugar" (OWN, 2016-) created by Ava Duvernay.
