Battling the Trust

S1, E1: As he starts to build an industry, he comes up against a powerful cartel headed by Thomas Edison, who wants complete control of the movie business - and by any means necessary. With help from fellow immigrants William Fox and the Warner Brothers, Laemmle fights back against Edison's goon squad and forms an underground film company that will become known as Universal Pictures.
