S9, E12: At a captain's meeting in the Soul Society, Shusuke Amagai proposes to the Thirteen Court Guard Squads that they train directly with the squads. But Kenpachi Zaraki and Mayuri Kurotsuchi speak out against the idea, and the captains object due to their lack of interest. Jushiro Ukitake and Shunsui Kyoraku encourage Shusuke, as they too feel that the captains should cooperate a little more. Then one day, the Soul Reapers get word that Menos have infiltrated the Seireitei. Each squad immediately jumps into action to show up the other squads, but the Menos are nowhere to be found.
