S2, E13: When Charles takes leave of his duties as au pair to visit with his parents, Buddy offers to take his place to impress Debbie, a girl from school who loves children. Ellen and Charles reluctantly agree. Buddy handles each situation with common sense -- which frustrates the children. When Sarah is kept after school for missing class, Buddy asks Jamie to look after Adam. Meanwhile, Adam runs away from home. Charles drops by to see how things are going and Walter tells him that if Buddy makes one more mistake, he will replace Buddy and Charles permanently.
