S1, E51: During a battle with another Trainer’s Rhyhorn, the bulb on Bulbasaur’s back begins to emit an odd glow, prompting Ash to take it to the local Pokémon Center. Nurse Joy runs some tests and soon discovers that Bulbasaur isn’t sick—it’s getting ready to evolve! Throughout the night, inside a mysterious garden, hundreds of Bulbasaur gather before an ancient tree for a ceremony of Evolution. Will Ash’s Bulbasaur join them?
