S1, E1: With the assistance of Hollywood "burn master" Mark Chadwick, Criss attempts to make himself a human candle as a present for his mother on her 70th birthday. In this death-defying performance, Criss sets up a spectacular demonstration where he is set ablaze not once, but twice. First he undergoes a partial body burn test near the Aladdin Hotel pool in Las Vegas that lasts over 20 seconds. Later, on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas, Criss performs a full 46-second body burn with no hand or face protection. With flames at temperatures above 1500 degrees Celsius shooting 15 feet off of his body, not even Hollywood stunt actors would attempt a trick like this. Criss further mystifies the Las Vegas crowd by disappearing and emerging as one of the crew members putting out the flames on the stuntman's own body.
