Episode 5

S4, E5: Adam and Rachel are distraught to learn their adoption agency will not allow them to go ahead with adopting Laura now that Rachel is pregnant. They decide to challenge the decision in court when Laura's foster mother intervenes - they should let Laura find another family. Heartbroken, they agree. Pete finally rid of David and his mother finds himself with another houseguest - Jo. However his feelings for Jo soon develop into more than straightforward friendship, but she has her sights on another. Karen returns to the workplace after meeting Mark, a publisher, at a drinks party. Karen finds she has plenty in common with Mark - he too is an alcoholic.
