Martin from "Ally McBeal") try to trace the origination of the illegal automatic gun. As they close in on the suspect (guest star Neal Huff), Briscoe voices doubts about Green's questionable modus operandi both on and off the job. When the case arrives on D.A. McCoy's desk (Sam Waterston), he makes a personal crusade to prosecute not only the killer, but also the corporate gun manufacturer who legally produces semi-automatic weapons that can be converted for mass destruction.
