Harry Belafonte

S3, E14: Fozzie Bear gets it into his head that the show needs scripts—“That way, you leave nothing to chance!”—and he’s just the bear to write them! Unfortunately, his typing skills are not the best, and he gets a little tied up with what appears to be a serious case of writer’s block. Things don’t go quite as expected during special guest star Harry Belafonte’s performance of his hit song “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song),” or when Dr. Julius Strangepork demonstrates his new Dissolv-atron invention on First Mate Piggy and Captain Link Hogthrob in Pigs in Space. But, as always, the Muppets pull everything together for another sensational show. You’ll love Belafonte and Animal’s epic battle of the drums, and when Fozzie asks Belafonte where he gets his ideas for songs, we get to hear the inspiring story behind the final musical number, “Turn the World Around.”
