S1, E5: Jimmy and Grace go through Charlie's papers searching for a lead. Grace asks Mitch to run the serial numbers on money they find in Charlie’s home. He discovers a link to a treasure agent, Michael Chen, who committed suicide five months earlier. Grace remembers she was supposed to meet with Chen around the time of his death – he never showed up. Jimmy confides in Max that Uncle Charlie might be the one behind the missing money. Max questions Jimmy about how much Grace knows, and Jimmy reassures Max that Grace can be trusted. Max has discovered hawala receipts in Tony's papers, and trace it the hawala agent. They try to find out where the money is located and who has it, but the agent is unable to tell them. Alec believes Jimmy is going to give him Charlie's business, but to Alec's chagrin Jimmy has other plans. Meanwhile, Tom learns Evie's teacher, Shelley won't be pressing charges. In Grace's absence, he seeks comfort with Shelley. Grace tries to speak with Michael Chen's widow, but she refuses to talk to the police. Grace is ambushed by a masked gunman. Injured and alone, she calls Jimmy for help. They take refuge in a motel, where he tends to her wounds. They kiss.
