Ignition Point
S3, E2: Bow Mariner is sailing south off the coast of Virginia after recently unloading 6,600 tons of a highly flammable fuel additive. Suddenly, the ship is rocked by a series of explosions. In the chaos, it’s up to one young officer to fight through the flames and signal for help. What follows is a daring rescue attempt in a sea full of toxic chemicals and an investigation with more questions than answers. Was it an act of sabotage? Was there a design flaw in the ship? Or did the captain give an order that turned the tanker into a ticking time bomb?
