Mailbag Special
S10, E9: Kari, Grant and Tory have mail, a lot of mail! The Mailbag Special is dedicated to answering as many viewer questions as possible. In the course of this one-hour cathartic correspondence catch-up the team answers almost 20 separate queries, mini myth requests, concerns and criticisms. Grant briefly grapples with a fan’s physics homework before deciding it’s better to start with a bang. The team reminisce ruefully over the letter asking “Have you ever feared for your life while making the show?!” There’s a tool show and tell to decide which is their favourite, Jamie’s emotional depths are plumbed, Adam plays quizmaster as the team is tested on their knowledge of the show and we get a look behind the curtains to see how the camera crew record an explosion. Mini myths are tackled and tested. Is it possible to eat a spoonful of cinnamon without drinking any water? Does regular beer fall faster than light beer? Can a desert eagle with 50 cal rounds pierce a line of 25 watermelons?! We unearth unseen footage of the animal idiom “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink”, the myth that a leaking plumbers van will explode with an electronic remote control and in a spectacular, acutely embarrassing finale we find out if pretty girls pass gas. Kari is never going to live this one down!
