S4, E9: In Exploding Paint, Adam and Jamie do a little painting and detonating when they attempt to blow wide open a home improvement myth. The story from the TV archives shows a lazy British comedian using dynamite to decorate. Adam and Jamie recreate the recipe with a gallon of paint and dash of dynamite to cook up a DIY nightmare of their own. Not so much ‘Do It Yourself’ as ‘Detonate It Yourself’ and you can imagine the results. Meanwhile, Grant, Tory and Kari are in conspiracy theory heaven when the team tackle the myth of Mind Control. The question they’re asking is - can you manipulate someone’s mind remotely? To find out, they trawl the Internet and the US patent archive and come up with five different devices to test.
