But first, she must retrace everything that got her into a prison on the other side of the world. Everything begun in the year 2001, when María was 26 and a promising lawyer. Then she discovered she was adopted and begun her search for answers. Where was she born? Why didn't her parents tell her anything? Who is her mother? The investigation she embarks in takes her to discover a crooked business buying and selling babies in El Remedio Convent in the 70s. Her perfect world begins to fall apart when she suspects that her parents also bought her. After these findings, she begins to believe that she doesn't know her family at all, especially when she sees her father assaulting the convent's doorman and believes he killed him.
