S1, E1: Believing his mother to be dead after their separation, Lucius Nero lives his young life among slaves. As Nero grows into his adolescence, he discovers that his mother is alive and reunites with her in Rome. Together, the two devise a plan to make Nero the new Emperor of Rome, but his mother gradually becomes too consumed with power. Nero must learn the hardships that come with becoming an emperor, both in his personal life and private life.
