S1, E2: In 1940, Freddy serves as an Air Transport Auxiliary pilot in England, where she befriends Jane Longbridge and soon marries Jane’s brother Tony, later becoming pregnant. Years later, in 1952, Tony dies of a heart attack, and at his funeral Bruno appears, exposing himself as Edward’s father’s killer. Bruno’s scheme to seize the chateau then forces Eve, Freddy, and Delphine from their home.
