Penny Drop

S1, E7: The Myth that a penny dropped from the top of the Empire State Building will be embedded in the concrete or asphalt below. If it strikes a poor pedestrian, it will shatter their skull and kill them. Jamie and Adam build a gun that can fire a penny at terminal velocity. They then shoot pennies into blocks of asphalt and concrete, and at a dummy head made from ballistics gel. Microwave ovens have attracted a large number of urban legends. Jamie and Adam put a handful to the test. Comedy legend Lucille Ball claimed that she could pick up radio through her tooth fillings. Not only that, she also claimed that her fillings once tapped into a morse-code message, and that, as a result, a Japanese spy ring was uncovered operating in Los Angeles!
