After a quick application of CPR Chloe is revived and finds Jesse accompanying her to the hospital. Against Dr. Sloan's judgment, Jesse personally escorts Chloe home and discovers that her married ex-boyfriend, Richard Locke, ran her off the road. Gallantly, Jesse assures Chloe that she can contact him anytime she needs help but is surprised when Chloe pages him with a desperate plea. Arriving at her home, Jesse encounters Locke in the midst of strangling Chloe. Immediately Jesse comes to the rescue fending off Locke's blows.
