S1, E5: Sex, once a private activity, is now considered part of one’s public identity. In session 4, Dr. Trueman explains how the emphasis on inner emotions and desires lead to a modern, politicized view of sex. He studies the influence of Sigmund Freud, whose theories suggested that sex was a matter of identity, explains how God teaches us to view sex and morality, and asks us to consider how we should address our sexualized culture as Christians.
