S2, E5: Sara remains confused as to her destiny with the Witchblade and wants to get rid of it. Gabriel refuses to buy it, however, reminding Sara that the Witchblade chose her. He agrees to help her find a buyer, but a mysterious figure contacts Gabriel and informs him that the Witchblade cannot be obtained with money. Meanwhile, Sara and Jake investigate the murder of a promising rock star, which is followed by the suspicious death of the musician's girlfriend. Failing to make progress, Jake explores cases of suicide in the area and discovers that three women in addition to the girlfriend were patients of the same psychiatrist and killed themselves within a three-day period. Sara and Jake eventually learn that the doctor has a split personality and has been influencing her patients. After defeating the psychiatrist, who tries to chop off Sara's arm in order to possess the Witchblade herself, Sara finds peace with the symbiotic weapon.
