S5, E8: Anna is in the library when a man who knows her identity attempts to kill her. Anna wonders if the Black Hand had mistaken her for him and murdered Messing. Murdoch is given a note by a woman he met at a tavern called Devil's Drum, where Messing used to frequent. Murdoch goes to the room she gives him and finds the woman's body.
