S1, E9: Salem: Martha and Walter Tate's fantasy is to find a place where old fashioned morality still prevails. Roarke takes them to a typical 17th century town in Salem, Massachusetts where they meet Charity, a young widow. That evening, at dinner with Charity, her son plays the fiddle causing the elders to arrest him for inciting Satan. When Martha gives Charity's other son an aspirin, she is accused of being a witch and is sentenced to death. Later, the Tates escape. On returning to the island they realise old fashioned morality is not all it seems. Superstar: Accountant Richard Delaney's fantasy is to become a baseball star. Roarke introduces him to Tommy Lasorda, manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers. At the climax to the game, Lasorda calls on Richard. He strikes out the next three batters to win it, so Lasorda offers him a chance to play with the Dodgers next season. Richard is ecstatic, forgetting this is only a fantasy, and ends up putting his job on the line to pursue his dream.
