الموسم 1، الحلقة 5: Throughout the country, brutal storms and freezing temperatures have made surviving the winter months nearly impossible for our Mountain Men who are in the thick of it. For Tom, Eustace, and Marty their work never ends, no matter the conditions. In the Yaak Valley of Montana, the long winter has been tough on Tom Oar, and now, with the help of his friend Will, they head deep into the mountains in search of food. But when Nancy discovers new tracks on their property, Grizzlies are no longer the only predators that have them concerned. In North Carolina, Eustace Conway is feeling the effects of weather and being a man down. To pick up the slack, he brings in a former worker to help protect Turtle Island's most valuable resource. And In Alaska, with the trapping season coming to an end, Marty Meierotto is going for broke. Clock ticking, he must finish work, close out the trap line and fly back to Fairbanks to meet the fur deadline in time or, lose it all. But heavy snow and gale force winds make the terrain dangerously impossible to navigate as Marty struggles to make it out alive.
