Back at the house, Team Cormier's next competitor finds an interesting way to combat boredom, crafting a bow and arrow from scratch. Through his home video, he shares his passion for hunting and introduces us to his girlfriend and mother. Meanwhile, Team Miocic's fighter shares powerful war stories with his teammates. In his home video, we learn about the many tragedies that he lived through, how he found MMA and landed on his feet after leaving the army. As the fight approaches, Cain Velasquez and Cormier's assistant coaches work hard to prepare their fighter. Meanwhile, the injured fighter continues to worry about his situation and decides to visit the doctor for a diagnosis. The day of the fight both fighters give it all they have and the winner advances to the semifinals.
