S1, E3: When Joy (Joely Fisher) hears Jeff (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Steph’s (Kat Foster) adorable engagement story, she is reminded of how Eddie (Brad Garrett) proposed to her, and feels that she missed out. When Eddie attempts to make good on his 20-year old promise to get Joy an engagement ring, he only succeeds in further aggravating her. Eddie soon makes amends while the two realize they both agree on the place they are at in their own relationship.
