S1, E1: Wellspring Academy of the Carolinas is a residential school for overweight teens and young adults. Students enroll full-time to maintain their academics while losing weight and getting healthy. Thirteen year-old Scotty Basso has lost all self-confidence and is ready to change his life. Will joining the Academy give him the guidance he needs to lose more than 50 pounds? Scotty's peer Tanisha is morbidly obese at over 510 pounds. Not only is her weight threatening her life, but her size is a major insurance risk for the school. Tanisha says goodbye to her friends and family to get her health back on track.
