S2 E11: After forty years Walter is going out on a date and he makes Charles promise to keep it a secret form the family. Then Sarah asks Charles to convince her mother she can go to an afternoon movie with a boy, yet Ellen flatly refuses. Ellen's plans to go out to a Broadway play go sour and Charles agrees to attend. Immediately Sarah reiterates her mother's saying that boy plus girl equals date, yet Ellen emphasizes that Charles and her are friends. Charles keeps Walter's date secret which inconveniences his plans to attend the play with Ellen.
