A Gilded Game

Top finance student Gao Han (Ou Hao) has just scored the opportunity of a lifetime in the form of a six-month internship at Bluestone, a leading international investment bank. While the other interns in his cohort come from privileged backgrounds, Gao Han comes from more modest means, but his strong work ethic and determination soon draw the attention of chief analyst Zhang Tuo De (Andy Lau), who decides to mentor Gao Han himself. However, senior executive Li Hai Lun (Huang Yi) wants to take advantage of Gao Han's new connection to Tuo De, and offers Gao Han an offer he can't refuse: get his mentor to sign off on fraudulent paperwork, and she'll get him a job promotion and a house. Gao Han agrees, but soon finds himself at the center of a business buyout that ruins his friend's life. Can Gao Han fix the mess he inadvertently created?
