Living near a racetrack, eleven-year-old Danny (Leelee Sobieski) knows all the angles for scam artists betting on horses. Her uncle (Robert Ulrich, "The Ice Pirates") is a trainer floundering in his career. Danny thinks he'll be a success if he can just make his name with one great horse. When the precocious child has a hunch on Tom Thumb, she convinces her uncle to invest in him.
