Barren Trees

After eight years in the witness protection program for ratting out his former gang members, Billy Burke, who now goes by Mitch tries his best to adjust to civilian life, but is failing. In an attempt to connect with his new family and his old self, Mitch tries to make amends for his past deeds. By doing this Mitch draws the attention of two hitmen, Eddie and Derek - both of whom are coping with different forms of loss. Instead of addressing their pain, the two hitmen decide to hunt down Billy Burke and collect the bounty that's placed on his head. As their search seems more and more hopeless, Eddie and Derek have to come to terms with their issues instead of running away from them like Billy Burke.
