Bitter Harvest

Nominated for four Emmys, this searing indictment of the US government's inability to solve the problems of its citizens stars Ron Howard as a young dairy farmer and family man whose cows are being felled by illness. Soon after, his son also falls seriously ill. The state's agricultural officials could do something about Howard's plight, but red tape and bureaucracy rules the day.
