What do we really know today of the historical relationship between humans and the cosmos? Not much really, because it has always been to some extent a religious relationship and because beliefs were usually exterminated along with ancient knowledge. What remains are small remnants, such as the Maya calendar, which reveals amazing things even without its famous expiration date.
