Born into a line of prison guards, Tera did as expected and joined the family business. But with one shift bleeding into the next and an ill father to tend to at home, she feels trapped. Lee is an inmate who fears the world is passing him by. Longing to escape, he pins his hopes on a jailhouse manipulation tactic known as “ducking,” whereby a convict befriends a guard for the purpose of blackmail.
