Butterfly Yiu (Alice Lau) returns from retirement in Canada to perform in a final charity show arranged by her best friend, Lulu (Law Koon Lan), at the Flower Palace Nightclub before it is demolished. This Nightclub was the place Butterfly started her singing career there with her three good friends, Lulu (Law Koon Lan), Fung Ping (Louisa So) and Nancy (Fung Wai Hung) during the turbulent Hong Kong of the late 1960's. One night, Butterfly was given an accidental chance to perform the final show and then became famous. This started a chain of events and changed the lives of these four women singers. Fung Ping followed her gambling-addict boyfriend to Vietnam with a show tour team. Nancy sought another job at another nightclub as a lounge singer.
