On July 18th, 1997, Johnny Tapia fought Danny Romero for the IBF & WBO Super Flyweight Titles at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. In a highly anticipated fight and an incredible battle, Tapia came out on top with a close unanimous decision win.
