Former college football hero Harold Diddlebock spends twenty years in a dead-end bookkeeping job. Fired by his pompous boss, E.J. Waggleberry, Harold tries his first drink—an especially strong cocktail from bartender Jake. A wild night ensues, pulling him and scheming hustler Wormy into a chaotic adventure with a bankrupt circus and a real lion named Jackie.
