April Collins is an experienced publicist at a large publishing house who is tasked with accompanying their biggest author, Harrington Davis, back to his hometown of Mistletoe for their annual Christmas festival celebrating his successful book series, The Magic in Mistletoe. Since the launch of his books, Harrington has become a bitter recluse, feeling as though his work and hometown have become nothing more than a commercialized money grab. Harrington recently stirred up controversy after posting grinch-like comments on social media, prompting backlash from his fans. As the publishing company plans to announce Harrington’s final book, a lot is on the line as they need Harrington’s appearances at the festival to go well, which means it’s up to April to help him do damage control. As the festivities and press events intensify, and April meets Harrington’s old friends and learns about his family, she soon uncovers the truth behind his disdain for the holidays.
