Money By Sundown

Set in modern-day South Carolina, Money By Sundown follows Jessamine Holliday, recently divorced and looking to get her life back on track. Her world is thrown upside down however when kidnappers break into her house and snatch her teenage daughter before her very eyes. Knocked out in the scuffle, she's roused by an incoming ransom call on a burner phone. The kidnappers' demands are simple: they want $80,000 in ransom money by sundown the following day. Unable to conjure the cash on her own, Jessamine's forced to call her lying, cheating ex-husband, Tripp, for help. Together they set out with what seems like a foolproof plan to secure the money, but, well, you know what they say about the best laid plans. Forced to improvise, the fractious exes race to find the money before sundown in this slyly humorous, twist-filled Southern tale.
