Mothra
Members of an expedition to Infant Island find that the heavily radiated island still holds life in the form of a number of beautiful young women called Ailenas. Only two feet high, they are the guardians of Mothra, a sacred egg. Returning to the island to kidnap the Ailenas, a member of the expedition, Nelson, plans to exhibit them around the world. After the egg hatches into larva and grows in size, it wreaks havoc on Tokyo. And once it becomes a colossal adult moth, the troops called in to destroy it discover a creature impervious to their weapons. Finally, after much killing, including the death of Nelson, the Ailenas are returned to the giant monster, who flies them back to Infant Island, restoring peace and tranquility to the world. Musical numbers by Emi and Yumi Ito (The Peanuts) highlight this film as they sing "Mosura No Uta (The Mothra Song)," "Daughters of Infant Island" and "Mosura ya Mosura."
