Nimrods

In NIMRODS, Tommy (Mason Thames), Fred (Kylr Coffman), and Chad (Ryan Foust) are members of a pop-punk band called Analog Dogs. When they learn that Green Day is going to be signing autographs at the local record store, Tommy and Fred push their way in to get their demo tape to the famous band. (Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool appear as themselves.) After Tré Cool dials Tommy's number as a way of making fun of their band name, Tommy's older brother, Wayne (Keen Ruffalo), and his cohort, Keith (Ignacio Diaz-Silverio), decide to play a prank on Tommy by re-dialing his phone, pretending to be Cool, and inviting the Analog Dogs to open for Green Day at their New Year's Eve show in Los Angeles. Tommy takes the prank seriously and talks Fred and Chad into making an impromptu road trip for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But all kinds of misadventures await, and time is running out.
