Nowhere To Go But Up

Val, an aspiring French actress, struggles with homelessness on the streets of New York. She catches the eye of Jack, a cynical screenwriter with severe writer's block. He secretly writes a script based on her life, which eventually becomes a hit movie starring Val herself.
