Perfect Strangers

Ginger Rogers and Dennis Morgan star in this murder mystery, courtroom drama, comedy, romance as two people brought together by fate and the Los Angeles judicial system--two people destined to become lovers who might have remained Perfect Strangers. Divorcee Theresa Scott (Academy Award Winner Rogers – The Gay Divorcee, The Barkleys of Broadway) spends days on a jury tasked with deciding the fate of a woman who allegedly murdered her husband rather than grant him a divorce. Also selected for this jury is husband and father David Campbell (Morgan – Christmas in Connecticut). As Scott and Campbell disagree on the case, the two gradually realize they are being drawn into the same situation. Based on the play Ladies and Gentlemen by Leslie Bush-Fekete, Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur.
