PHANTOM

Tensions are high in 1933 Japan-occupied Korea, as an assassination attempt has just been made on the Japanese governor-general. The suspects? A Korean anti-Japanese resistance group known as the "Shadow Corps" that aims to overthrow Japanese colonial rule. The Japanese authorities suspect a member of the Shadow Corps, codenamed "Phantom," has infiltrated their ranks. Police captain Kaito Takahara (Park Hae Soo) gathers a group of people suspected of being Phantom – police officer Junji Murayama (Sul Kyung Gu), communications officer Park Cha Kyung (Lee Ha Nee), government secretary Yuriko (Park So Dam), and code-cracker Cheon Eun Ho (Seo Hyun Woo) – in an isolated hotel for interrogation, leading to a high-stakes race to figure out who the real Phantom is while trying to protect themselves. This film was based on Chinese author Mai Jia's 2007 novel Feng Sheng.
